A complete service that takes your garden step by step from concept to a complete garden.

Step 1 - Initial visit
Involving a site visit to assess your requirements and discuss ideas and the potential for your garden. It is important to gain an understanding of what you require, to produce a coherent design that matches your tastes and way of living.

Step 2 - Survey
A contract is formed between us. A site survey will be conducted, including photographic records, measuring dimensions and levels of the site and taking a soil sample. This is to enable an accurate scaled Site Plan to be produced which will be used as a basis for the design.

Step 3 - Design and Drawing Stage | Master plan
From the survey we develop a master plan in a CAD-software. Additional drawings such as construction details, bespoke structures, 3D-visuals and elevations to clarify any details are created at this stage. Once produced we discuss any comments or amendments you may wish to make. These discussions lead to the final master plan showing all the proposed hard and soft landscaping. At this stage we are able to produce a final quotation for the construction of the hard and soft landscaping elements of your project. (see project overview below)

Step 4 - Planting Plan
The construction of your garden starts on site. Meanwhile the planting plan is created, indicating specific species and number of each plant in detail. This step involves sourcing the plants from specialist nurseries required for your design. The planting plan can include large specimen plants for instant effect. Delivery, setting out and planting the plants are carried out according to the planting plan. We deal directly with major nurseries and growers to obtain the highest quality of plants.

|Project overview|
Zetterman Garden Design work with established and professional landscape contractors in the UK. If you wish to have us guide and overlook the process and garden during build up we are happy to help. Garden landscaping quite often involves a number of complex and challenging solutions to construction and it is highly important you hire professional landscape contractors to carry out the work. The overview includes a regular dialogue between Zetterman Garden Design and the contractor and my personal time to visit the garden during construction. By doing so a number of decisions that comes up later in the process can be resolved and your garden be build according to the agreed design and specific details.
